A mixed bag of results on Day 5 at the Toyota National Championships as final matches got locked in for Monday’s Teck Finals Day.
St. John’s GU17 dropped a 2-1 match to Manitoba, but advance to the Bronze Medal game on the strength of their round robin and point differential. Lucy Thoms had the lone NL goal. They will face Spatial St. Hubert of Quebec on Monday.
On the boys side, Feildians U17 boys dropped a 7-1 decision to SK, and will play for 7-8th place. Logan Holloway scored for NL.
At the Challenge Cup in Halifax, Feildians dropped a 2-1 decision to West Halifax. Emmanuel Dolo scored for Feildians. The team will play for 7-8th place tomorrow.
In Waterloo, Ontario, Feildians U15 defeated NWT 11-0, while the girls dropped a 1-0 decision to NS and will play for 5-6th place.
There are two medals in play on Monday’s Teck Finals Day. Defending Jubilee Trophy champions Holy Cross Nutraholdings will look for a second consecutive national title as they play Griffons CF Montreal (Quebec) in the gold medal match, while the St. John’s U17 girls will play Spatial St. Hubert (Quebec) for bronze.

12:15pm - BU15 - Feildians v. NB (round robin format for positions 9-12)
