The NLSA is pleased to announce its Youth Players of the Month for July and August

JULY

GU12 Championship - Isabella Pope
Isabella has been named Player of the Month for her exceptional performance as a striker, where her powerful kicks have become a crucial part of her team's offensive strategy, especially during corner kicks, free kicks, and shots from the top of the box. Over the years, Isabella has developed from a Tier 2 player to one of the top talents in the GU12 division, consistently leading her team with skill and self-determination.

BU13 Championship - Harrison Martin
Harrison consistently brings his best to every game and practice, demonstrating a strong work ethic and dedication to the sport. His commitment doesn't stop at his own performance; he is also an exceptional teammate who supports and motivates others, both on and off the pitch.

GU13 Championship League - Neko Williams
Neko is the top goal scorer in the GU13 Championship League, scoring 14 goals in 13 games. Neko is a striker with amazing speed being able to bring the ball from one end of the field to the other. Neko shows up to every practice and game with a smile on her face. She is supportive, kind and a great teammate. We are so proud of her hard work and dedication to the team this season. Congrats Neko!!

GU13 Premier League - Kinley Murphy
Kinley's corner kicks are pure magic, perfectly placed every time, leading to numerous goals. As her team’s top scorer, her skill and dedication have been crucial in helping her team secure second place in the league. Kinley consistently makes a difference, whether scoring clutch goals or controlling the wing to set up her teammates. Well done, Kinley!

BU13 Premier League - Xavier Pacholka
Xavier's passion for soccer is only rivaled by his desire to contribute to his teams success. He is both a top player and teammate. He leads by example in both his ability and determination. His constant desire to compete and improve pushes those around him to be better.  

GU15 Championship League - Hayden Guiney
Hayden is a powerhouse on the field, her role as a striker put her as the top goal scorer for the GU15CL at 19 goals so far. Her strength, grit, skill and speed on the field are a true testament to the athlete she is. She is always hungry for the ball and never gives up. Her determination is admirable. It’s been a pleasure to coach Hayden and on behalf of the PSC we are all very proud of you! Way to go Hayden, well deserved! 

BU15 Championship League - Kaden Tarrant
Kaden is a lightning quick player with great dribbling skills. What impresses his coaches most about Kaden is his willingness to learn and also his leadership qualities on the field.  Kaden exemplifies what it means to be a teammate.  

Mylee Tapper - GU15 Premier
Mylee is a speedy winger who is comfortable taking defences apart with either foot. While she is an assist machine, she is also comfortable putting the ball in the back of the net, scoring ten goals in the regular season and contributing four more for the Mt Pearl South team at NL games. Mylee has proudly represented Paradise Soccer Club for the past ten years and has been a member of NLSA program for the last six. 

BU15 Premier League - Quinn Norman
Quinn Norman is captain of the MPSA boys u15 Premier league team. Quinn is a constant threat for defender’s whenever he plays. His elusive speed, great first touch, ability to shoot with both feet and distribute the ball effectively has led to Quinn having a great month. Quinn leads his team with 10 goals. Aside from his natural ability to score, Quinn sees the field very well and has great awareness, which has also makes him a fantastic playmaker.   

BU17 Premier League - Carter Bromley
Carter has been a key member of the U17 Western Wolves this summer. Carter’s explosive speed and power when attacking the net has secured many vital goals for the Wolves this season earning him a spot at the top of the leader board. His work ethic is unmatched as is his commitment to his team. Congratulations Carter!  Well deserved!

GU17 Premier League - Emma Nolan
Emma Nolan is the epitome of hard work and dedication.  Emma comes to every practice/game with enthusiasm and love for the sport which is evident in the effort she gives.  It’s hard to find an opponent who can out work Emma which is why she’s such a valuable asset to her  U17 CBS team.  Her energy and positive outlook is infectious to all around her.  Great job Emma!

BU18 Championship - Chance Zawako
Chance is an exceptional striker that has a unique talent not seen very often. He is agile, quick and has an incredible touch. He has scored many memorable goals for the SJSC U-18 boys team this year. His defensive play has improved greatly as well which makes him invaluable to the team.

August

BU12 Championship - Henry Mahon
Henry is a quick footed and versatile striker who is always in forward motion. When he isn’t working hard on the field, he is keeping his teammates positive on the bench. Congratulation Henry!

GU12 Championship - Charlie Costello
Charlie Costello plays for the CBS Gu12 PYl team as well as NLSA. You will normally find her playing defense or center midfield. Her dedication and passion for the game shines through. Soccer is just one of the many sports she excels at. Charlie is a team player, she shows up to each game and practice focused and ready to give 100%.  Her leadership, attitude, and calmness on the field do not go unnoticed . Charlie's game smarts and many assists played a role in the success of her team.  Congratulations, Charlie.

BU13 Championship - Brayden Senior
Brayden played a vital role as the center-midfielder for BPSA. As a box-to-box midfielder, his focus on protecting the back line and stopping attacks, and still having that creative role as a playmaker and linking with forwards, it is no surprised his team leaned on him as the cog on the field. Brayden’s keen ability to complete a wide range of different passes, adjusting pace, power, and being able to pick out accurate passes even when under intense pressure, allowed him to carry his team during the season. Brayden credits his accomplishments from his hard work and dedication, plus the knowledge instilled to him from his coaches. He would like to thank his teammates, coaches, and his family, for his growth in the game that he now loves!

GU13 Championship - Jada Matthews
Jada is a huge team player. She demonstrates incredible speed and leadership on the field, and consistently makes a significant impact. Not only does she excel in her performance, but she also has shown exceptional sportsmanship that had been displayed throughout the season. Jada sets a great example for others and is always there to support her teammates. 

BU13 Premier - Eli Jack
Eli Jack is a fierce competitor. He can play all across the front line, and uses his impressive speed and strength to power past defenders to open up shots on goal. He is a high energy player, and this helps Eli to close down opposition defenders quickly and keep the ball high up the pitch. He is also strong on the ball, and is hard to dispossess, with a solid left foot. Eli is a valued member of the Feildians team. At practice he works hard, listens well, and gets along well with his teammates. He also played an important part in the playoffs in August, scoring in both the semi-final and final matches to help Feildians lift the champions trophy in the BU13 Premier League! 

GU13 Premier - Madelyn Tremblett
For the second time this season, Madelyn was selected Player of the Month - a testament to her ability to have a significant impact in games. Scoring four goals in the final game (including one with her head!), she led her team to the championship title and was selected tournament MVP. Consistently displaying high effort, skill, and intensity throughout the season, Madelyn is also an excellent teammate and leader both on and off the field. Way to go Madelyn, your soccer future is bright! 

BU15 Championship - Sava Navrotskyi
Sava has been a tremendous player for us this year. Apart of his work rate and goal scoring, he really stands out for the number of goals he assisted. His teammates constantly benefited from his quick through balls around the eighteen-yard box. He is blessed with quick feet and a quick mind. 

GU15 Championship - Charlotte Bishop
Charlotte Bishop was instrumental in leading the Southern Shore United U15 Girls team to their first ever silver medal in the Championship league. She was also voted by her coaches and teammates as MVP of the playoffs. Charlotte was a great team player and always showed up to a game or practice with a smile on her face. Great job Charlotte!

BU15 Premier - Ben Veitch
Ben had a great month of August, winning a gold medal with us and also taking home a gold medal at NL summer games with St. John’s / North. He was a vital part of our team’s success during final weekend scoring 3 goals and adding 3 assists in 2 games. His goal scoring ability has been on display all season but it was his unselfishness and playmaking that really helped us down the stretch. Congrats Ben!

GU15 Premier - Kate Reimer
Kate Reimer is a leader on the field helping her team to 6-1-0record in August. Kate always brings an intensity, dedication, and commitment to training and games that makes her teammates better. She shows strong technical and tactical skills and always puts the team first. Congratulations to Kate on this recognition! 

BU17 Premier - Ethan Fahey
Ethan Fardy approaches every game as if it’s a final.  It was no surprise he put in a man of the match performance when it mattered most in the BU17 final. He scored the opener and made countless game changing plays on the defensive side as well helping his Club secure its first ever Provincial Title in the BU17 division. Ethan is a tireless worker with an abundance of skill and fearlessness. He wins all of his individual battles by doing what his opponents are not willing to do. A great young man on and off the field. Simply put, Ethan is a coach’s dream. Congratulations Ethan well deserved.  

GU17 Premier - Emma Whalen
Emma Whalen finished her regular season the way she started it - scoring goals! Emma finished as the leading scorer in the league for the second consecutive season, with a hat-trick in the playoff semi-final, and two goals in the final to lead the St. John’s u17 girls to the title. Emma displayed true leadership qualities throughout the season as captain of the team and is now setting her sights at representing the province during Club Nationals in October.  

BU18 Championship - Hunter Walsh
Hunter is a battling midfielder that also has a sense for goal. His work ethic and aggressive play makes him a great asset to his team. In the last three seasons, Hunter has played a season as a striker, another as a central defender, and this season a central midfielder. All effectively. That in itself is a testament to his ability and his willingness to put his team first.
