Selection Process and Key Dates
Players are scouted during the Provincial Program and at NLSA tryouts in October 2022.
NLSA appointed coaches are asked to observe and grade the players as follows:
- Junior and Senior Prospects and Provincial Team player
- Provincial Team player only
- Approaching the standard
October 24th, 2022
- Selection Committee meet to review feedback from coaching staff
- 22 to 24 players from each gender are selected
October 26, 2022
- All players are notified of their status with one of the following three responses
- An invitation to be a player in the Junior or Seniors Program and the Provincial Program
- An Invitation to a player in the Provincial Program
- Thank you for attending you are still approaching the standard
November 1st, 2022
- Players selected for the Junior and Senior Prospect Program to attend a Zoom orientation meeting
November 4th , 2022
First payment to be completed
November 6, 2022 to until Tuesday, December 20, 2022
Program start date and end date prior to Christmas Break
Monday Boys 5.45pm-7.00pm
Tuesday Girls 4.00- 5.30pm
Thursday Boys 4.00-5.15pm Girls 5.15-6.30pm
Tuesday, January 9, 2023 to Thursday, April 27, 2023
Program restarts after Christmas break and ends
