Course Introduction
Active Start coaching course is a NCCP and Canada Soccer Coaching Course for
coaches who are coaching soccer players aged U4 to U6 age groups.
There are no pre-requisites required to complete this course.
Coaches are encouraged to completed the three (3) additional multi-sport courses
when coaching the 13 plus age groups.
Rule of Two in a Virtual Environment
The course is composed of 4 (4) online modules and an 2-hour on-field workshop.
Each module has a short video for the coach to view. Then the coach is required
to complete a “Check Your Knowledge” quiz.
The modules can be completed either all in one sitting or the coach can complete
each module at their convenience.
Once the four (4) modules and each respective quiz have been completed via
Google Classroom, the coach is required to attend a 2-hour on-field workshop to
complete the course and become certified.
Once Newfoundland and Labrador Soccer Association has received permission for
soccer to resume, a schedule for the on-field workshops will be communicated.
